Back Pain With Large Breasts

by Carla
(Toronto)

Like a lot of women never used to associate breasts with back pain, until the weight of my breasts caused me to think otherwise. For a long time I suffered with severe pain and bad posture because of my large breasts.

I used to love the attention I got because of my larger than normal breasts, but eventually I began to wish they were much smaller. Eventually, due to the back pain I was suffering from, I began to feel ashamed of my large breasts and would try and take the focus off them by leaning my shoulders forward. This of course made my back pain and shoulder pain much worse over time.

I have always been a very active woman, exercising 4 or 5 times each week for years but even this became a problem. Due to the constant motion my breasts were in while exercising, my back pain became much worse. My back muscles were always having to work very hard to keep my back straight and my shoulders back.

I started going to physical therapy sessions while at the same time taking prescription medications, and while that worked for a period of time it didn't last.

I finally made the decision to have breast-reduction surgery. This was a very expensive option but well worth it. I am now off medication but continue to take a natural back pain remedy that is helping my back and shoulders be pain free.

In my case, surgery was necessary but for other women taking natural pain relievers may be enough. You don't have to live with the pain there are options that work.
