Great News For Women--Get Fit In 30 Minutes A Day!

by Karen Ficarelli
(West Palm Beach, FL, USA)

You don't have to spend hours at the gym in order to lose weight and get in shape. It is entirely possible to get physically fit in as little as 30 minutes a day.

By spending at least 30 minutes a day engaged in an aerobic activity like walking, running, dancing, skating, swimming, or playing golf, racquetball or tennis, you can achieve major fitness benefits.

I like to alternate my days by changing up my routine every other day. By working out with resistance training, I build muscle, strength and endurance. Best of all, the more muscle I build, the more calories I burn.

It's true, you know. The more muscular your body becomes the easier it is to burn calories, even when you are sitting on the couch watching television. That's reason enough to want to get your body into a better physical condition.

I go a step further in my resistance training exercises by adhering to the Pilates' principles of engaging my core muscles when I am working out. These muscles found in the center of the torso, are responsible for reaching, bending and lifting. A secret of dancers for years,a strong core can alleviate back pain and give your body that long lean look of a dancer's body.

Just 30 minutes a day ... that's all it takes to lose weight and get in shape. So what are you waiting for? Get up and start moving for a healthy and happy lifestyle.
