The Amish Arthritis Treatment

I attended a street fair of sorts in my hometown. As we live in an area with lots of Amish, there was an Amish booth there. Among the items for sale was a cookbook, compiled and published by the local Amish ladies. I couldn't resist!
Upon getting home, I discovered that not only were there "food" recipes inside, but other wonderful little tidbits also. Among them, an Amish Arthritis Treatment.
Now, my husband is in his 60's, and suffered from arthritis, as well as various other aches and pains from past broken bones, etc. So I used him for a guinea pig.
The recipe is:
1 box WHITE raisins
1 pint gin (any kind)
Soak raisins in gin.
After 7 days, eat 10 raisins per day.
Can be refrigerated or left on counter, depending on whether you prefer them cold or warm.
My husband swears by this stuff now, and recommends it to all who have complaints of arthritis. Myself, I can't stand the taste of gin, so I can't stomach the "treatment" - but I can tell you that he is feeling much better now. His shoulder had been hurting him to the point where he couldn't even sleep on that side.
Now, no problems at all.
