The Cause Of My Lower Back Pain

The cause of my lower back pain was primarily my job. My back pain has always been a problem for me but it was always much worse at work. It made each work day a true challenge to get through.

I used to think that only people with jobs that required heavy lifting would suffer from back pain not me, working in an office all day long with the heaviest thing I lifted was the phone.

Spending 8 hours a day sitting or standing was a very difficult thing to do. Regardless of the position I tried to put my body in to reduce my back pain, nothing worked.

I finally went to a personal trainer who was able to help me identify muscle imbalances in my body that were the main cause of my lower back pain. She suggested that I start using an exercise ball to sit on while at my desk instead of my regular chair because it would help me improve my posture thereby reducing my lower back pain.

I also started to move around more at work instead of sitting in one position for hours on end.

I also started to exercise on a regular basis and eat properly as well. I do take some natural pain killers and combined with my new habits, my lower back pain has gradually gone away.
