It's funny but you could have everyone rooting for you, and everything seems perfect. You can even have the best teacher in the world, but if you think of your fears during the execution of your plan or even before you start, you take the focus off the reward of your mission and you focus on the what - if I fail part.

Your weight loss motivation disappears then you successfully remove your discipline of staying on course.

This happens so often when it comes to weight loss. You may be all pumped up and excited about weight loss and maybe you finally decided to stop just talking about it and start doing it, but if you concentrate on the fear of not reaching your goal it will creep up on you and eventually overwhelm you and you know what that means - no weight loss motivation and you quit!!

Whenever you have a fear of something take all the negative aspects away from it; then all you have left is the positive! You then have no fear.

Sounds easy right?

Guts come from being fed up with something. Are you fed up? If you are, go for it and focus on the rewards of accomplishment, not the consequences of failure. If you have some type of fear regarding weight loss and fitness motivation, just do it and stay focused on the good.

I learned this weight loss motivation technique from a closing technique in sales called the Ben Franklin close.

The Ben Franklin close in sales is when you make a list of all the benefits of doing something and then on another list you put all the reasons not to do something.

After you do this, you see which list is longer and you have your decision made, rather than put it off or procrastinate further.

Weight loss and fitness motivation is similar, but a little different. It's more like a question.

Let me explain procrastination first.

You must understand that this procrastination stuff started a long time ago. Since the beginning of time people have chosen to put off today what (they say) they can fit in tomorrow.

I know this has happened since the beginning of time because humans have been around since the beginning of time and if you're human, then you're a creature of habit: you choose the path of least resistance when possible!

If there s an easy way to do something, we tend to lean towards that direction!

If we have a difficult, uninteresting project, we tend to put it off!

We all do it.

One of the first rules of successful weight loss motivation is always make decisions, make them logically, make them quick, but most important, change them slow!

Procrastination starts with indecision. That's when you can t make up your mind, or you change your mind too often. Should I exercise now or should I wait until that magical day to appear?

Should I start a weight loss motivation program or should I wait for the kids to get out of school, or maybe college, you know how they need that constant support.

Maybe I'll wait for Club Utopia to open up next door, you know I heard their opening soon, when that happens I'm there!

This type of thinking my friend will get you down sooner or later.

Indecision, otherwise referred to as procrastination like spring turns to summer, turns to doubt, doubt turns to worry and worry turns to depression.

Avoid this by starting to make any weight loss motivation decisions you can.

Big ones little ones, it doesn't matter just make them. Start by deciding to decide! Do it now. Say, I am making a decision now to start making decisions! Say it!

Do the benefits you'll acquire, outweigh the discomfort in making a decision today?

It's all about logic and emotion. The logic of that question is simple. Why wait, if the good outweighs the bad?

The emotion of that weight loss motivation question is even simpler: Do the benefits outweigh the discomfort? Absolutely! Easy question to answer!

The only way to overcome negative weight loss motivation & procrastination is through logic and emotion.

When you want to get started losing weight, you will feel some procrastination.

In order to maintain or develop discipline, overcome procrastination by using the weight loss motivation techniques we'll provide you with today.

Use it when you feel like your procrastinating. But more important ask yourself this question now: Do the benefits of losing weight for you; the energy, the stamina, the health, the longevity do they outweigh the discomfort of change?

Lets look at a weight loss motivation illustration. You're sitting at home realizing its been 6 months since you made the New Years resolution that on January 1st, you were going to start exercising more consistently and combine this with a commitment to stop smoking cigarettes.

You've tried everything but can't seem to get your weight loss motivation going and take the first step.

You decide you're fed up and you start to do this weight loss motivation technique:

  1. You pull out a pen a paper

  2. On the left side of the sheet you write the word benefits

  3. On the right side of the sheet you write the word discomfort

  4. You draw a line in the middle of the paper to separate the two categories

  5. First, you write all the discomfort you'll have by getting your weight loss motivation going and starting to exercise more frequently:

    Changing your schedule; Getting up earlier; Giving up the TV; Driving to the gym; Nervousness; Some anxiety; A change of habit

  6. Under the heading of benefits you write the benefits of exercise and the benefits of using effective weight loss motivation techniques.

    You could write: More energy; Longer life; Sleep better; Think better; More discipline; Sharper thinking; Better concentration; More strength; More persistence; Better blood circulation; Lower cholesterol; Preventive maintenance of the heart; Save money; Prevent cancer; Prevent emphysema; Smell better; Look better; Breath better; Live longer.

After you have added up the benefits and compare them with all the discomfort that may happen, what you have done is come to a logical conclusion that exercise and health is better than sluggishness and no weight loss motivation.

By looking at this paper it reminds you that the only thing stopping your weight loss motivation from getting started is you.

Keep this paper with you and read it daily until you feel your change becomes a habit but remember to always ask yourself this question when you feel like your procrastinating or when you need to make a logical your weight loss motivation going decision:

Do the benefits of succeeding at this task outweigh the discomfort of making this decision?
